MR Chemie GmbH mourns the loss of Hans-Jürgen Brandt

With deep sorrow, we bid farewell to our former Managing Director and Partner
Hans-Jürgen Brandt, who passed away on September 18.

His career at MR began in 1978 as Production Manager. Ten years later, he left the MR family for several years to Norderstedt and returned in 1998 with further professional experience to his former place of work.
From then on, he shaped our company as Managing Director like no one else.

A new generation of our UV LED handheld lamp is ready to go

Of course, MR CHEMIE and KARL DEUTSCH are committed to the continuous development of our products. Based on a lot of user feedback, the next generation of our UV LED hand lamp (MR® 976) has now been developed: even more user-friendly, more energy-saving and with practical functions that make everyday work noticeably easier.

Material compatibility of 3D scanning sprays

What many users underestimate: These sprays usually contain solvents that can cause serious damage to certain materials. Plastics such as PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), PS (polystyrene) or 1K paints are particularly affected by the use of alcohol-based sprays. If used incorrectly, there is a risk of milky clouding, cracking or the detachment of coatings – defects that can destroy a component or render it worthless.
The issue is by no means limited to individual product lines. Rather, it is a technical challenge that affects all solvent-based scanning sprays, regardless of the manufacturer.

REFLECON® reference points – setting new standards for precise 3D scanning

Whether structure light or laser-based – with the right reference points, you can ensure maximum accuracy for complex scans, reduce alignment errors and significantly speed up your data processing.
The new Reflecon® reference points serve as reliable markers for the spatial orientation of the scanner and for the precise registration of multiple individual scans. They are tailored to the specific requirements of different scanner systems in terms of size, adhesion and reflection properties.

The importance of UV technology in non-destructive testing

Non-destructive testing (NDT) plays an essential role in safety-critical industries such as aviation, automotive engineering, power generation, mechanical engineering and medical technology. It makes it possible to detect material and manufacturing defects without damaging components. A particularly well-established method is fluorescent penetrant testing, which makes the finest surface defects visible. The quality and effectiveness of this process depends heavily on the UV light source used, among other factors.

Reflecon TopoTrack – 2 in 1 Scanningspray

The Reflecon TopoTrack 2in1 scanning spray was developed to significantly minimise the process time of a 3D scan. The process time is not only reduced by eliminating the need to stick on and remove reference points, but also because you can guide your scanner over the object much faster.

Safe working

There are many aspects such as storage, handling (including transportation if necessary), but also the disposal of test equipment. Safety data sheets must also first be understood in order to ensure safe handling of test equipment. Ideally, it is better tob e safe than sorry.

MR Chemie mourns Volker Jürgens

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our long-time employee Volker Jürgens. It is with great sadness that we inform you that he passed away after a short serious illness. He had been a valued part of our team at MR Chemie GmbH since 1985.
